In response to my last post, I am sharing our experience with the vivitrol shot for opiate addiction. In our family we have tried the traditional suboxone and I know many using methadone. The problem I see with both of these methods, in my personal opinion, is they are very addictive and even hard to detox from than opiates themselves. The fact that they need to be given daily can keep the user from easily accessing and even remembering to take, thus leading to relapse. I have also personally seen how easily the addict can abuse the methadone and suboxone as they know how to use it with the opiates and thus continue their addiction. In otherwords, many still have the addiction despite them trying to use suboxone and methadone to get help. To see how the vivitrol shot works CLICK HERE. You can find a provider in your area on the vivitrol page. Our insurance covered it completely. For more information please comment here and I will try to help. Tell me your experience with vivitrol, methadone and suboxone treatement.
As a mother of 3 beautiful sons, drug addiction was nothing I ever thought we would be learning so much about! It's so hard to watch your beautiful child get addicted to a substance that totally takes over his mind, emotion, body and abilities. Truly, the brain becomes so chemically addicted that "trying" to get drug free on your own is nearly impossible. http://www.brainplace.com/ If you go to the website I just posted, you will see the brain before and after pictures. It proves that the brain is damaged with chemical addiction. The good news is, the brain can heal itself. Through proper nutrition, exercise, sunshine, meditation and more, you can heal your brain! If you are beating yourself up over your loved ones addiction, does it help to know their brain has been "rewired" to need that drug? I know it has helped for me. I will be sharing this week on some "helps" for heroin addiction. I would love some feedback on "meth" addiction and what experience you have had in successful treatment. May God keep us in His care as we battle this together, Terry
Here's a first look at the property we are considering building the Southern Arizona Dream Center. It is the historic Rex Ranch in Amado Arizona. We believe God will bless this land (and the price) should this be the place the Dream Center is meant to be built. Please continue to pray for us so God will open the doors necessary to make it happen!
Today my heart goes out to a mother who has lost 2 sons on the same day to heroin overdose. I cannot image the pain that one would endure for such a tragic loss. I am praying for this family as though it were my own sons and knowing that they will need God to supernaturally comfort them right now. We will continue to move forward on solutions, education and even residential programs in order to help this awful addiction! Pray for those that have lost their children to this serious addiction!
